Could Sudden Fatigue Be A Symptom Of Seizure?

My 36 year old daughter appears to have passed out today. She was lying across the end of her bed moaning. She couldn t focus; had a blank look in her eyes. She couldn t talk. It took a few minutes to get her to sit up in bed. It took app. 15-20 minutes to get her to snap out of it and be able to say mom. Her lips were compressed. She didn t appear to recognize me. When she was a little more awake, I asked to her talk. She finally said a couple of words. I asked her to smile. She was able to smile with both sides of her mouth. Meningitis at age 7 months; seizure meds til age 3. Last seizure 1997. What are symptoms of seizure, if I didn t actually see it? If she did have a seizure, is there a blood test to determine such and how quickly does blood test have to be done?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think this should get evaluated because it can by a hypoglycemia or lypothymia episode and seizure too. Taking count of her past medical history of seizures she should do an EEG.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
