Could Swollen Thyroid, Lymph Nodes And Inflamed, Painful Jawline With Severe Fatigue Indicate Lymphoma?
hi I need to shed some light of what I may have maybe u can please help me to see if this is cancer or not, well I was given an ultra sound of my thyroid an I guess that it is enlarged, also there is a total of 4 lymp nodes 2 on each side of my neck that r enlarged so I now have to get a cat scan done to see wat it isa also I have inflammation of the jaw bone plus it leads up to my ear at times causing me to have very bad ear pain, plus my neck hurts constantly since last November. I just need to knw if this possiably could either be non hodgskins lymphoma or a different type of cancer,, all I knw is that I have not been feeling like myself since November an very fatigue as well
hello welcome to HCM since your ultrasound of thyroid gland reveals it is enlarge which may be due to inflammation/infection in thyroid gland and any type of infection can leads to enlargement of lymphnode. the pain in ear must be due to inflammation in submandibular lymphnode which usually cause pain in the ear because of its location. to rule out hodgkin or non hodgkin or cancer, biopsy/histopathology is must. without histopathology it is difficult to diagnose lymphoma and for cancer frank lesion has to be there. wish you a good health. thank you
