I am 67 years old. Have been taking Lisinopril for 7 years to keep pressure off of a AAA. Last night my tongue swelled to the point I could barely close my mouth. Emergency room Dr. suspect an allergic reaction from the Lisinopril. Swelling is now ok after treatment. Can I quit taking the Lisinopril until I can get in to see my family Dr. or is it a medication that needs to be weaned off of.
Yeah this could be an allergic reaction. Consult your Physician to get the medications changed. Also take an antiallergic drugs. At home take lukewarm saline and antiseptic mouthwash rinses. Take multivitamin suplements.
