Could Terrible Joint Pain On Right Collar Bone Be Gout ?

I have terrible s/c joint pain that can be felt on my Right collarbone (including above and below). I have had x-rays, a CT-Scan, and an MRI. The only thing that was concluded was that there is increased uptake showing in this area. Could this possibly be gout? How should I treat it?

Hi,

Gout is unlikely.

As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
