Could The Allergy Shots Cause Hair Thinning?

I have been on allergy shots & a diet of no soy, egg or wheat. In April they strengthened my allergy shots & shortly after my hair started thinning, mostly on top but on sides some too. Found a pre-cancerous spot on scalp. Can really see my scalp on top. Have quit the allergy shots and diet. Dr put me on bitoxin & a blood pressure pill to regulate potassium & hormones, even tho all this looked ok on blood work. Also thyroid ok. Seems that I am still loosing hair. Stressful. Could those allergy shots & diet have caused this? no history in family

I am so sorry to hear about this hair loss. It would be difficult to tell whether these shots and the diet restrictions caused this. What shots were you using for allergy? Are they steroids? I will need to know the precise name in order to be able to help. Also, are you a male or female?

If all these symptoms started after the drugs and dietary measures, then the timeline is suggestive. Give yourself some more time after having stopped these medications to see if there would be any more change as there seems to be no discernible abnormality on blood testing to explain this.
