Could The Cloudy And Smelly Urine Be Caused By Sinus Infection Or By The Intake Of Vyvanse?

My daughter has a cloudy, smelly urine. She just started taking Vyvanse, in this past week. She also has a possible sinus infection. She is away at college and has told me this over the phone tonight. Could either of these be causing the urine problem?

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Neither Vyvanse or sinus infection do not cause smelly and cloudy urine. The most probable reason of her symptoms is urinary tract infection. She may also has frequent urinating, burning while urinating, lower abdominal pain, fever.

I suggest you to take her to the doctor. Urine analysis should be done and antibiotics prescribed.
She should also increase mineral water intake and start cranberries supplementation.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
