Could The Dip In Vastus Medialis Be Due To Torn Muscle?

Three months ago I had a parital knee replacement removed and a whole replacement implemented. Now I have a huge dip in my left vastus medialis. It is like it has be removed and placed above in a knot close to my grion. My physical therapist thinks my muscle is torn and has been pushed up. Is this possible during a knee replacement. My leg was not like this after my partial knee surgery but it is now. I am still in alot of pain on the left side of my knee, sometimes like a knife sticking in me. I cant bend very well nor walk well. Please give me some information Im not paying for your advice

Hello,
Thanks for your query.
Dip could be due to torn muscle. It could also be due to muscle wasting.kindly upload the xrays so that I can help you in better ways. Meanwhile give hot fomatation over it, You can take Tablet Motrin 1 tablet with food as and when required (upto 4 tablets daily).
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
