Hi,

Avil 50 is an antihistamine medication that is used to treat various allergic conditions such as hay fever, allergic rhinitis, hives, and allergic conjunctivitis. The recommended dose of Avil 50 is one tablet (50 mg) per day, taken orally. However, taking excessive doses of Avil 50 can cause side effects, including skin problems.

Skin problems that can be caused by taking too much Avil 50 include skin rashes, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, and redness or blistering of the skin. It is also important to note that taking excessive doses of Avil 50 can cause serious health problems, including seizures, coma, and even death.

If your mother has been taking excessive doses of Avil 50 for a long time, this may be the cause of her skin problems. It is important to speak with a doctor about her condition and any medications she is taking. The doctor may recommend reducing or stopping the Avil 50 dosage and may prescribe alternative treatments for her skin problems.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

Avil (Pheniramine) is an antihistamine medication commonly used to treat allergic reactions, itching, and hives. While it is generally safe when used as directed by a healthcare professional, taking high doses of Avil over a long period of time can have adverse effects on health, including on the skin.

Repeated and long-term use of high doses of Avil can lead to a condition called antihistamine-induced photosensitivity, which can cause skin problems such as rashes, hives, itching, and skin discoloration when exposed to sunlight. It can also lead to skin dryness and premature aging.

It is important to note that skin problems can have various causes, and while the overuse of Avil can contribute to skin problems, it may not be the sole cause. So, I think you should encourage your mom to stop taking avil in excessive dose, and consult with a dermatologist further regarding her skin problems.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
