Could The Feeling Of Something Struck In The Throat Be Due To Lap Band?

Hi Doctor, I had a lap band over 3 years ago and for the past 3 months, I have been feeling as if something is stuck in the bottom of my throat. If i bent over, I could feel it. Recently, I felt nausea during the day. Does the band have this effect or is there something else?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Foreign body sensation in the throat may be due to acid reflux or esophagitis or achalasia cardia or pharyngitis or tonsillitis etcetera. Until examination, it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
