Could The Problem Of Late Periods Associated With The Intake Of Laxatives?

So I have been doing a low carb diet and I do exercise about 4 times a week. Also I have been taking laxitatives here and there since I'll get constipated becUse of the high protein diet. I've had no intercourse whatsoever but my period is about 5 days late :/. Can this be the cause of the laxitives?

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Laxatives are related to menstrual cycles, not going to alter your cycles.
Common cause for delayed period is hormonal disturbances, which could be due to stress, not to worry, wait for few more days for your cycles to appear normally.
If your periods delay by more than 20 days, consult your doctor for examination and prescription of medication.
