Could The Redness And Warmth In Body Be Due To The Z Pack For Bronchitis?

I was prescribed z pack for bronchitis and upon taking my last dose i noticed within the hour my skin turned red & hot, I was getting chilled, and I had the typical appearance of sloughing of snaskeskinbut not as severe. Legs and arms the most. They will wax and wane. This has been 12 hours now. My mouth had been blistered already on the 4th day but it wasnt so bad as today I cant stand to have water touch my tongue and my lip bleeds if i open my mouth without vaaseline on it. My question--ER or primary MD??

Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction to Z pack. I recommend using antihistamines daily such as Levocetirizine to relieve the symptoms. If the symptoms continue I suggest to see your Medical Doctor for relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
