Could The Redness In Mouth, Runny Nose, Throat Pain While Swallowing And Red Tongue Indicate The Symptoms Of Flu?

My daughter came back from school today seeming weak. I looked at her mouth & noticed her mucous mb is congested (reddish). Her tongue is all red & the papillae are raised (like red bumps). I also noticed she has runny nose (with serous and mucus nasal discharge). She complained about her throat hurting about 4 days ago while swallowing and has been doing well with Ibuprofen & vitamins. Please could the most current clinical sign be pointing towards flu. The mouth has been red for more than 7 hrs.
