Could The Sleepiness In Day Time Be Due To Medicines?

My 78 year old husband was diagnosed with Parkinson s several months ago. He is on sinamet, remeron and gabapentin and takes a calcium magnesium supplement daily. He is having a hard time staying awake during the day and wants to sleep a lot in the daytime. He gets a good 8 to 9 hours of sleep at night. Could the cause of this sleepiness be due to one of his melds or a combination of them. Thank you

Both remeron and gabapentin produce sedation. Reduce the dose in consultation with his doctor . A single bed time dose may be sufficient.
