Could The Symptoms Of Constipation And Loose Stools Be Due To IBS?

I think i got ibs for first time not sure. 29 year old female. Firstbi thought my pain comes from my period starting soon, then my bowels felt crazy. First constipated then alot of lose stool, my belly is currently hard like a brick and big. i am scared, never had this before, symptoms got worse over past 10 days.

I really appreciate your concern, of course it could be IBS but it is finally labeled it is better to ruled out the infection or condition can be managed empirically with anti-protozoa drug but antibiotic can be added as the diagnosis not confirmed it can be alone protozoa infection or bacterial infection or both all together, and I would suggest to try Tab Metronidazole 400 mg +Doxycycline twice in day for five days, hope this information helps.
