Could The Vomiting In A Seven Month Old Lead To Dehydration?
Hello my seven-month-old son has been vomiting for about 20 hours now I keep nursing him he s only had one wet diaper but two poops overall he doesn t seem that uncomfortable I am just concerned with dehydration the rest my family does have the flu right now. What else should I try thank you for your help
Hello. Thank you for your question. Persistent vomiting at any age puts us at risk for dehydration. In babies, we want 1-2 wet diapers per 24 hours. That your son appears comfortable is a very good sign. However, if he goes 24 hours without urinating, or he is unable to keep anything down, I recommend consulting with your doctor.
