Could This Be The Ear Infection Having Symptoms Of Ear Pain, Swelling And Redness In Ear?
I have never had any type of ear problem, however my right ear hurts, it doesn't hurt on the inside I do not believe but it appears soar to the touch, read and a bit swollen. it hurts to swallow(he ear) and the side of my face and head is sensitive also. Is this and ear infection or something else. No fever, a slight cough with post nasal drip?
Hi and thanks for the query, It does look like your ear is infected. If the ear is swollen and looking red from the outside then probabaly the cartilage of the ear is infected. If the ear appears normal from outside then there is a possibility that the inside of the ear is infected. The treatment of both the conditions is different You have to see a doctor to confirm. Till then keep your ears dry and do not probe the ear. Take a pain killer after confirming the dose. Regards, Dr Kishori.
