Could Viral Infection With Vomiting Followed By Small Red Dots On Face Leave Permanent Marks?

Hi. My 8 year old son had a 24 hour virus with vomiting only yesterday. Afterwards we realized that he has small pin like red dots all over his face only. Should I take him to the urgent care or will they go away on their own? Could they leave permanent marks if untreated?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello. Thank you for your question. What you are describing is very common and nothing to worry about. The pressure of the vomiting causes the breakage of small blood vessels. The result is this appearance. It resolves on it's own and leaves no permanent marks. No need to worry.
