Could Waxy And Greasy Hair Be The Side Effect Of Citaprolam?

Hi, is waxy greasy hair (not on the roots but throughout the length of my hair) a known side effect of citaprolam 20mg? As I have not changed my shampoo or conditioner and my hair has felt thick with a wax substance for 5 days now and I thought it might be that I hadn t washed it properly but I have since washed it everyday to try to get rid of it and not used conditioner and it has made no difference. I have only recently started taking citaprolam (for about 3 and a half weeks) so if it is not that do you know what it could be? Thank you

No, waxy and greasy hair is not a side effect of citalopram. Most probably it is due to unhygienic practices of washing hair.
Advice
1.     Continue citalopram as suggested
2.     Wash your hair with good quality branded shampoo such as Loreal every alternate day. After washing, dry hairs properly with hair dryer
3.     Do not use conditioner
4.     Do not use oil
2.     If you have white silvery scales (dandruff), you can use Scalpe shampoo (ketoconazole 2 %, zinc pyrithione 1 %) twice weekly for 2 months. You can purchase it online from Amazon.
I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question
