Could Weight Gain Be A Result Of Suffering From Sebaceous Naevus?

My daughter was born with a Sebaceous Naevus. I have read that the Naevus has to do with the glands. She has excess weight on the upper part of her back and stomach. Could this weight gain be because of the glands? What type of specialist do you suggest?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe, there might be sebaceous cysts in the nevus.nevus may not be related to the glands, it is a rudimentary tissue.
For sebaceous cysts you can consult a surgeon for surgical removal.
The weight may be a result of food, and sedentary life.
You can keep weight under control, by avoiding fats, fries, junk foods, and oily foods.
Increase your activity by practicing, morning walk, yoga, gardening, and do any work in front of you.
Minimize the sleeping time ,practice late to bed, and early to rise, avoid day time sleep.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
