Could Wrist Pain, Bruising And Tenderness Be Related To De Quervain Syndrome?

I have had some Dequarvains in my right hand for awhile and wear a thumb brace off and on for it. After doing some computer work today (I was doing nothing at the time) I got an intense amount of pain in my wrist and now have a bruise about the size of a quarter where the pain was. My wrist is tender where the bruise is as well.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
I have studied your case and i can assure you that De quervain's disease is completely curable disease. it requires following:
1. Hot water fomentation with splint .
2. Steroid injection in the tendon sheath can be given and than repeated after 6 weeks. This is very successful method and always give good result.
3.if this is not worked than other method is to release the tendon sheath of the thumb's tendon. It will offer permanent cure of this disease.
I hope these methods will be helpful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions for you.
thanks.
