Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
Hairfall could be due to several reasons and of many kinds. For proper management, i would advise you proper clinical history, examination and laboratory work up. From your description, it seems you are having androgenetic alopecia and for which you have been prescribed Coverit 5%. Covert contains minoxidil, which works in different ways to enchance your hair growth. Since you are not satisfied with the results, i would recommend you to escalate Minoxidil concerntration to 10%, 1 ml twice a day over addected areas of scalp. I would also recommend you oral supplements containing biotin 10 mg( Follihair new) one tablet daily after lunch. Hair serums containing active peptides ( Q sera ) can be applied once a day. In males, another very promising drug which has very good action in adrogenetic alopecia is finasteride, but i would strongly suggest its intake only after thorough discussion with your dermatologist, as i has some side effects on sexual health.
Also try to balance your lifestyle, habits, stress and have plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet.
Hope this will take if your issues.
Thank you,
Dr Hardik Pitroda
