Could You Suggest The Alternative Ways Of Giving The Medicine For The One Year Old?

Good Morning Doctor, I am having a baby girl of 1 year and 3 months. In the last week she was having high fever 102 / 103 tempreture. When culsulted with our local pediatrician and after getting the urine report, it was detected E-coil growth (count is less than 100000). Her pediatrician has suggested Urifast medicine (syrup) 5 ml, 2 times a day. But when we give this medicine she immediatly vomets the same. Pls suggest different ways of giving this medicine or any other alternative

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
You can dilute the medicine with plain water to mask the taste and prevent vomiting.
You may give an anti emetic like domperidone syrup hilf an hour prior to administering medicine.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
