Cracking, Tight And Dry Scraped Wound In The Knee, Unable To Bend The Knee. No Bleeding. Advice For Healing?

I fell and scrapped my knee 5 days ago. It bled the first night, and while the whole area of the scrape is about 2.5" x 1.5", the worst, scabbed part is about 1.5" x .75". I've been keeping it clean and I'm pretty sure it's not infected, but it cracks and hurts every time I have to bend my leg. It never seems to ooze anything when it cracks, but it hurts a lof! It constantly feels tight and dry. What can I do to make the area less painful when I inevitably bend my knee?

Hello,
Welcome at HCM.

I have read your query.

You should apply a soft ointment over this area. This will makeit more stretchable without leading to pain.
Take a mild analgesic like advil.

Hope this will help you.
