Cuts After Shaving, Used Unclean Brush. Any Possibility Of HIV?

Hi, I went to the barber shop yesterday for shaving. I saw ther barber used 2 new blades but after the first pass i got some cuts and then he reapplied shaving cream with the brush on my fresh cuts. That brush wasn't clean when I first got there. Is there a possibility of HIV transmission if the previously customer left some of his infected blood on the brush?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Getting shaving done in a public saloon does have the risk of transmission, but as you mentioned that new blades were used,it seems ok. HIV can survive in dried blood for at least a week at room temperature. But as the brush used was coated with shaving cream whose pH does not allow HIV to survive that easily. But still I would suggest not to get exposed by getting shaving done at public saloons.Thanks.
