Cysts In Buttocks. Had It Drained. On Antibiotics, Used Epsom Salt. Why Are They Recurring?
hello, over the last two months I have received three cyst on my buttock. the first of the left cheek that had to be cut open and drained and i was put on antibiotics. not more then a week later a second formed right above the first. the antibiotic i was on was changed. about 3-4 weeks later i received a third cyst on my right butt cheek. i have been on antibiotics again for about 7 days as well as soaking in Epson salt and putting a heat compress on the cyst. These cyst are painful and constantly visiting the dr and buy antibiotics is becoming costly. what could be the cause of these reoccurring cyst in the same area?
Hi, From history it seems that you might be having recurrent ingrown hair follicle infection as there site is changing. If cyst is re infected, site remains same. Consult your doctor and get physically examined. If infected sebaceous cyst is there, then get it excised with sac to get complete cure. Apply antibiotic cream locally. keep local part clean and airy.
