Dark Brown Discharge, Cramps, Heavy Blood Discharge. Had Pregnancy Test. Miscarriage?
Period was due 4/23. On 4/5 I had unprotected sex, without ejaculation. Last wednesday (4/17) which would be 12 dpo, I noticed dark brown discharge, lasted for two days, then I got severe cramping and bright red blood. This has lasted from Friday and is still going on today. Is it possible that I miscarried? Am I pregnant? I have taken 3 home pregnancy tests (first response) all negative..on Friday, Sunday, and this morning.
On the basis of history given by you, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. Conception is followed by missing periods. In simple words, 14 days after conception, the periods are missed. But in your case unprotected sex followed the missed periods. The dark colored discharge associated with cramping pain could be menstrual flow associated with dysmenorrhea. Observe your periods for few more months. If the periods are irregularly irregular, you need to consult your doctor for treatment. The cramping pain associated with bleeding/ discharge can be managed by anti-spasmodics. Mefenemic acid preparation is commonly used for this purpose.
