Dark Brown Spotting, Back Pain, Tender Breasts, Trying To Conceive. Causes For Negative Pregnancy Tests?
I have had dark brown spotting for the last four day about four days before my period is due. My period was due yesterday. I had lower back pain yesterday and it is worse today. I am tired. I took a pregnancy test in the morning the last couple of days but it turned out to be negative. I am not hungry but no nausea . No heart burn and breasts are a little tender. We are trying to get pregnant. It seems I have several pregnancy symptoms but why are my tests coming back negative? If I am having pregnancy symptoms, shouldn t I have HCG being produced by now enough to show up on a pregnancy test?

these are a few possibilities that i would like to discuss :
1. It is most probably dysmenorrhea which means it is pain during your periods . It might be there for 2-3 days after your period starts and will reduce there after .
2.Your urine pregnancy tests might not be positive for a few days after a missed period . hence you might have to wait for a few more days .
3. You might have to get an ultra sound scan done to find out if you are actually pregnant and also to find out the cause for your bleeding in case you are actually pregnant .
4. The symptoms that you have mentioned are very subjective and not necessarily indicative of pregnancy .
