Dark Purple Lump On Inner Thigh, Near Vaginal Area, Shrinking And Growing In Size. Treatment Options?
For the past months I have had this lump on my top right inner thigh near my vaginal area, which I thought was a boil . I tried to pop it, apply warm wash cloth... it goes down & then comes right back. Each time it comes back it gets a little bigger. I ve left it alone, and still right after it goes down, comes back a little bigger each time. Its dark purple, and very painful.
According to your description there is possibility of femoral hernia.
Femoral hernia is protrusion of abdominal contents through the fermoral ring.
It is more common in females than males.
So you better consult gynecologist and general surgeon to get examined and find out the actual cause of the lump.
As painful hernia can indicate complications like incarceration etc better to consult the doctor as early as possible.
Take care.
