Dark, Purple Skin Spots On Legs, Ankles And Stomach. What Are They?

in the past few years I have developed about 6 flat dark purple painless skin spots on my legs and torso. Each is about 3 mm x 4 mm. They appear from ankles to lower abdomin. Years ago I had one abnormal skin tissue growth that was excised. They have not changed in size but when I get a new one it seems just show up and it is there.

Hello,
Thanks for the query,
There are three possibilities.

1.Lichen pigmentosus, an autoimmune disorder

2.bruise, due to low platelet.

3.Melanoma, a cancer.

A biopsy will be required to reach a diagnosis.

Please meet a dermatologist for final diagnosis and treatment

Let me know if you have any other doubt.
