Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Deep Indentation In Area Of Bruise. Spot On Thigh. What Could This Be?
I have two questions. First: I have a deep indention where i had a very large, and swollen bruise early this year, I was wondering if the muscle tissue or fat cells possibly died? Secondly, I have a spot on m upper right thight that looks like a small bruise, doesnt hurt, but is always dried out, for about 2 years now, what could this be?
If it was a large bruise which has left an indentation then probably the fibrosis following healing has caused the area to contract leaving an indentation.
It is very difficult to give any guidance on your second query without having a look at it. I suggest that whenever you are seeing your doctor next then you can show the bruise and seek an opinion. In all probability nothing needs to be done for it.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
Wishing you all the best.
