Degeneration In Vertebrae. Regenerated Spine. Any Ideas?

after 2 seperate MRI scan's done in Oct 2007 and Feb 2008 (after a fall at work) the scan's showed that my vertabre at the c2 all the way to the c6 had degeneration and it was suspected MS after more tests MRI'S and 5 years i have had a new MRI and the damage/degeneration is only showing in the c2/c3 how can this be??? i am in the armed forces and due to this will be getting medically discharged if the spine has regenrated then is there a chance it was due to the fall as MS has now been ruled out

The degenerative changes in the spine can be caused by the injury also. Since MS has been ruled out now, you can get a repeat MRI scan done to find out if there is any further deterioration.
