Degenerative Disc Disease Where The Cervical Ribs Of Both Sides Come Out Of Place. Is The Only Option Is Physical Therapy?

Hi. I have degenerative disc disease of the cervical spine, as well as spondolisthesis. My first cervical rib on the left and right sides come out of place and end up behind my collar bone. Is there anything I can do? I have a very good physical therapist who taught my husband how to push the ribs back into place. Is this my only option?

HI. The foremost question is whether the cervical ribs are causing any problems or just an incidental finding on X-ray or CT Scan. If they are not causing any problem , no treatment is necessary. Pushing back the ribs is not the therapy, please do not attempt, as it may cause more problems.
