Delayed Period After Childbirth. Mood Swings. Negative Pregnancy Test
Hi my name isDaisy and I just had a baby she is 7months for the last three months I have had the period normal and exact. Know I am 9 days late counting today and being feeling really emotional. Some symptoms I get when I m about to get my period are cramps and get blooded but haven t felt anything. When I was pregnant with my daughter it took a while to show that I was pregnant. Like about 1 week after I missed my period. I went to planned parenthood and it showed up negative they did a urine test. I made an appt with my doctor to get a blood test if I go today will it show if I m pregnant or not or do I have to wait at least a week more. Thank you Daisy
Well, it is good to rule out pregnancy first, but be informed that there could be many other causes for a delayed period. When you do visit your doctor, please inquire about the other causes and consider ruling them out once pregnancy is ruled out.
As for the serum pregnancy test, some women do not return a positive pregnancy test for even 3 months into pregnancy, so there is no accurate or estimated time for you to get tested. But textbook says that you can be tested 2 weeks after the suspected date of conception or on or after the first day of a missed period.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
