Delayed Periods. Have Vaginal Itching. Taken Fluconozole. Noticed Spotting. Had Acute Sinusitis And Stomach Issues. Remedy?
Hi Doctore,
I am 48 years old, married with no children and have very regular periods EXCEPT on two occasions in life; last year, in March 2012 (Environmental temperature was 37 degree) during my visit in India after having been to the USA for seven years.Then I took some ayurvedic tonic and then it became normal. In April 2013 I had an acute sinusitis, taken Biaxin 1000mg for 10 days. I had a lot of stomach issues with the Antibiotic. After a few weeks I got sever vaginal itching followed by whitish discharge. I was treated with Fluconozole 150 mg. My period got delayed for 5 days and the volume of blood was lesser compared to the normal period. Now I am on the 10th day of my period. After 5th day of my period I thought my period stopped. Unfortunately I am experiencing some spotting and on two days some clots also appeared. What would be the cauase? Would it be due to the Antibiotic I took or due to Antifungal?I appreciate your valuable suggestions. By god grace I am healthy and I still have some stomach issues because of the antibiotic intake which is controllable now

From your history it seems that at this age due to hormonal disturbances leads to hormonal imbalance giving rise to this problem.
This is the time you may start Menopause and during this time period might be more or less, might be delayed as well.
If you got more problem, consult Gynaec and get examined.
