Delayed Periods, Foul Smell, Strong Odor On Ovulating. Perimenopausal?

I used to be regular but within the last year I have become either late or early by 2-3 days. When I am late a foul smell will start 2-3 days before I start my period. When it actually gets started, the flow is much heavier then on my normal periods. I m 35 with one child. I also noticed when I ovulate the odor is strong. Is there anything to do to change the odor ( I don t douche ) and should i be alarmed about the irregular periods and is it possible I m perimenapausel ?

Hi,

There is no need for you to be alarmed here.

Please get a PAP smear done. Also, get a transvaginal scan done to look for the endometrial thickness.

I do not think there is something majorly wrong with your health. There may be a hormonal imbalance causing this.

You will be fine soon.

Take care.

Hi
You need to get blood tests done like those of TSH,Prolactin, Day 2 FSH,E2,LH.
An ultrasound of pelvis.
You will also need a local examination by a gynecologist.
Depending on the reports, your irregular cycles can be treated.
It also helps if you are trying to conceive again.
