Diabetic. Has Dark Stool, Feeling Dizzy And Retaining Fluids Around His Abdomen. Guide

My dad is a diabetic and for the past three days he has not had an appetite but his blood sugar level at night is around 18 and in the morning it's 4.5 he is taking 70cc of insulin in the morning and 50cc at dinner but again he has not eaten very much. He has dark stool, is unable to stand as he is feeling very dizzy and it appears that he is retaining fluids around his abdomen.

Hello,

Your father is a diabetic.
Based on the blood sugar levels given his diabetes is not controlled well.
One reading shows hyperglycemia and the other is near to hypoglycemia.
Use a long acting insulin in the morning and ultra short acting before meals.
Dark stools means presence of blood in the stool. It may be due to upper GI bleeding. Evaluation is needed.
