Diabetic Patient Having Constantly High Sugar Levels
My father 52 years old, is a diabetic patient from last 20 years. From last 10 to 12 month his sugar level is constantly high. It touched 350 in recent months. Currently it is at 220. His weight decreased very badly. From last 16 to 17 years he is highly addicted to gutkha. I want to know is gutka one of the reasons of his high sugar level and what all he can do to control it .does yoga helps in it.
Usually constantly high blood sugars indicate acute loss of beta cells reserves in the pancreas which is responsible for secretion of insulin..
Secondly even after taking adequate medicines for the blood sugars and if you are unable to control it, then it is the time to start basal insulin at the night time.
Yoga is some times not recognised as physical activity, it will improve exercise tolerance and mental stability but it is never an alternative for physical exercises.
Stop gutkha once for all, if you are not able to do it volunterely then take the help of psychiatrist and do it
Thanks
