Diagnosed 'narrow Angle Glaucoma Suspect'. History Of ROP Stage 3 Plus Disease Corrected By Chryotherapy. Opinion?
June 1st, 2013
Hello, my name is Shayla I am a 23 year old prematurely born (27 weeks) adult. I had ROP stage 3 plus disease, corrected by chryotherapy. It was very successful. Today I am a fully sighted person.
Last year in April I was diagnosed as a ''narrow angle glaucoma suspect'' This was because of high pressure readings. My eye Doctor said if I did develop this type of glaucoma, it wouldn't happen until I was a very old lady. I am going back for a full eye exam soon to check on things, I pray all is well.
Can you please tell me what you think about my situation...Do you think I might/will I get glaucoma one day?
any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. please visit: WWW.WWWW.WW to read my ROP story, I am helping to raise its awareness!
Welcome to HCM portal, Itis good that you are in for a early diagnosis of narrow angle glaucoma ,bofore the damage starts. In cases like yours, the early diagnosis is the key.You should do well to control glaucoma and have periodic follow up visits so that once glaucoma is controlled then it should remain controlled by medication.Even if the glaucoma is only borderline have periodic checkup to keep it under observation.
