Diagnosed With Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. Taking Injections. Any Other Alternate Medicine For This?
I am almost 84 years old and have been diagnosed with Carpel Tunnel syndrome. I am advised, that at this age going under general anesthesia is not advisable. The finger next to my index finger is the involved finger. It is a situation of numb and needle pain. I have had unbearable and painful injections to the hand, ( My Right) .Do you have any other suggestions?

You don't mention any other health problems but general anesthesia is possible at your age depending on any other conditions you have. Alternatively, many operations for treating carpal tunnel syndrome are done under local anesthesia very successfully. I would suggest you find a surgeon who is willing to do this under local anesthesia and discuss the risks involved. It is a relatively minor operation that could significantly improve your pain.

Your symptoms indicate here vitiation of vata and pitta dosha here as per ayurveda so just start taking kamdugdha rasa (moti yukt) 1-1 and ashwagandha arishata 2tsf - 2 tsf with equal amount of water after meals.You will start improving . 3. you have not mentioned about your occupation (involving frequent use of fingers: as in typing (typists/computer)?
4. you can try any of the folowing as per their availability:
.vaatkulantak ras 125mg
rasraj ras 125mg
panchamrit lauh guggulu 500mg
thrice a day with erand mool decoction.
.rason sura 15ml
dashmool arisht 20ml
after meals with equal amount of water
. mahamash oil for internal use (in drops)
