Diagnosed With Pharyngitis

hi, i have a problem with my throat. i've been to the emergency room and also to my physician ,and they diagnose me with pharyngitis. i gotten two prescription of antibiotics which have'nt done anything at all.and i was wondering what could be the actual problem?

Hi, thanks for the query.

If I were your treating doctor, for best drug of choice you may go for throat swab , culture and antibiotic sensitivity.

I would prescribe you , antiseptic mouthwash , Plenty of fluids ,anti inflammatory , analgesic Paracetemol + Ibuprofen combination ,Macrolide Antibiotic azithromycin & Vit c.
