Diagnosed With Diabetes, Slim, Exercise Daily, Weigth 76 Kgs, 45 Yr Old. How Many Calories Do I Need To Burn ?
I m 45 Year old Male. Height 5ft 10 inches. Weight 76 Kgs now for last 20 years with only a +/- 1 kg variation. I m on the slim side with a slight belly. My Work involves desk job mostly. I excercise i.e do tread mill walking daily / alternate days. I have been diagonised with Diabetes last year. Keen to knwo how many calories do I need to burn on a daily basis in my case through walking.

Thanks for your query.You are a healthy person with normal wt and doing exercise regularly.Now you have been detected to be diabetic very recently.This is a type II diabetes you have not mentioned your sugar levels but hope it is under control with oral anti diabetic medication.Get your liquid profle study done to know the serum cholesterol (High Density and Low Density cholesterol)As your job is sedentary in nature you need 1800 to 2000 cal in 24 hrs.Whatever exercise you are doing now( Loosing 350 to 400 cal daily ) is enough to keep you fit and your diabetes under control.
