Diagnosed With Fibroid In Posterior Of Myometrium. Had Left Ovary Removed Earlier. Should I Get Fibroid Removed?

i was told june of last year i had a 2.5 cm fibr0id in the posterior of my myometrium, my question, after already having had an eblation of the uterus in 2008 and seemingly a left ovary removed without consent...should i go back in for the removal of this fibroid and when should I , if not now.? thank you in advance for any information lisa.v , YYYY@YYYY

Hi thanks for your question.
You have not mentioned in history few important points like your age, parity that is number of children your having and any symptoms at present. These points are very important for answering your question. If you are having symptoms like bleeding or pain then you have to get this fibroid removed at your earliest. If this fibroid is not producing any symptoms and ablation of uterus is already done, there is no need to get it removed .Only thing you have to do is to monitor its size by regular ultra sound.
