Diagnosed With Pneumonia. Placed Chest Tube, Started Seizing And Having Brain Swelling. Minimal Brain Activity. Suggestions?

My daughter father was diagnosed with pneumonia They placed a chest tube and he started seizing and having brain swelling They are saying he has minimal brain activity but his eyes do dilate with stimulation I am a nurse and am struggling to get details (he remarried) and I don't know what to think about her stepmother and doctors wanting to remove life support any ideas?
