Diagnosed With Typhoid During Pregnancy. Does Taking Antibiotics Have Adverse Effect On The Baby?

Hi doctor. My wife is diagnosed recently Typhoid at the end of first trimester and we are worried for my wife and baby s health as she is suffering from high fever , headache and pains since long but due to pregnancy we and doctors thought it is common due to pregnancy. I want to ask if it would have any adverse effects or can it be cured easily and whether antibiotic intake will not be serious?

There are antibiotics available in the market which are safe in pregnancy. Secondly typhoid fever itself harm pregnancy more than antibiotics. So its better to get treated.
