Diarrhea And Cramps After Taking Prescribed Amoxicillin With Refills For Abscess In Tooth. Suggested Stopping The Tablets. How To Speed Up Flushing It Out Of System?

Hello, I was recently prescribed amoxicillin by my dentist for an abcess. The script had a refill which I refilled and took. When I returned to the dentist they gave me another script for same thing. Long story short, I now know the refill was just a precaution and I wasn't supposed to refill unless told to do so. So, I consumed around 70 pills or so before diarrhea and cramps told me something wasn't right. I called dentist and they informed me of what earlier statement said and told me to stop taking them, obviously. What can I do to speed up process of flushing them out and stopping diarrhea and cramps?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Once you stopped the amoxyciliin ,its effects are over within next 72 hours according to plasma half life.
Still you have diarrhea and cramps, so reason may else.
Cramps are due to loss of essential minerals so please get in intravenous drip of Ringer lactate 4-5 with addition of multi vitamins .
Lactobacillus + zinc will help you in diarrhea along banana + curd +rice.
Still no relief than take racecadotril 100 mg 2-3 capsules for 2-3 days.
