Diet In Lactating Mothers

I delivered 2 weeks back. It was a normal delivery. Iam breast feeding my child. I feel the milk is not enough for the child. It keps on crying many times. What foods increases milk production. Which food is good for my child?

Your diet is directly associated with milk production.
So you need to have a calorie rich diet which should have high fat and protein in it.
foods like dry nuts and fruits,Dry coconut, sweets,ghee,butter, fresh fruits, egg
, green leafy vegetables,full fat milk will help in milk production.
As you are lactating frequency of meals/eating should be increased.
Dont be tensed/stressed this decreases production.
FEED YOUR BABY EVERY TWO HOURS.
So try these and enjoy your motherhood

this is very important, if you eat well only you can get enough milk for the baby, my mom use to say this every time. she use to feed me all nurturtious foods. so i was able to feed my kid up to the age of 9 months. she use give all fruits, more milk, ground nuts, and egg and fish.

The sufficiency can be determined by pumping it out. Also there are certain drugs which your Obstetrician can suggest to increase milk production.

lactating women require more calories as they have to produce milk ....we must have more meat,milk,eggs...fruits ..ii think this will increase milk production
