Hi I have recently been been experience difficulty digesting food and feel as though my food pipe is blocked. My chest and feels quite restricted as though something is putting a lot of pressure on it. On three occasions over the past 3 months this has happened and I have vomited aroung 3-4 hours after eating. Is there anything I can do to prevent this happening?

Hi,

Are you having trouble to swallow food? why do you feel like your food pipe is blocked? When you vomit does digested food come out or is it undigested food (like whole food particles)?

You need a thorough check up to find out the exact cause of the problem.

The management will depend on the cause of the problem.

I would advise why dont you see a gasteroenterologist or a surgeon who could get a few tests done and manage accordingly.
Till then take light meals and avoid fatty food. Drink sufficient water.

Take care
