Difficulty In Opening Mouth, Clicking In Jaw, Got Hit On Jaw. Treatment?
Hi, I woke up about a year ago with my mouth not being able to open, It was fine after an hour but my jaw still seemed to click randomly on the left handside. It hasnt done it since then, until this morning. Last night My partner and I got into a bit of a fight and he pushed down on my jaw on my right handside which this morning had now incurred my jaw on the left hand side to only open very slightly. Please help! What should I do
Hi, It seems that you might be having lax TM joint muscles giving rise to click sound on TM joint movement. Now due to hard hit there might be having sublaxation ( partly dislocation ) of TM joint giving you this problem. Consult orthopedic or oral surgeon and get examined. Do not try to open your mouth wide open or yawning. Avoid chewing hard stuff. Ok and take care.
