Difficulty In Sleeping, Mild Chest And Stomach Pain, Get Shallow Breathing While Sleeping. Reason?
For the past few days I haven t been able to fall asleep until really early in the morning. I slept in my grandmas bed the other night and she told me the next day that I would breathe very shallow and I would sometimes stop breathing for a few seconds. and also I have been having a little bit of chest pain and upper middle pain in my stomach . Can you please give me an idea of whats wrong with me and what I should do. I don t have any insurance right now.
Hi There, Thanks for asking. Stop breathing is an important issue in medicine. It is observed by another person and shallow breathing is also another sign which usually accompanies it. Upper middle pain in stomach is because of positive pressure induced by lack of good ventilation at night and chest pain could be because of lack of good oxygenation at nights. These are symptoms of sleep apnea. Weight loss can help for improving it specially if you want to prevent it from worsening. You need to lose at least 10 to 15 pounds to see its effects on your breathing. Let me know if you have any other question.
