Digestion Difficulties, Passing Motion After Every Feed, Liquid Stools, Sporlac Provides Relief, Treatment
Hello..my daughter is 1 month and 3 days old.Off late, I have been going through stress due to office. My little one seems to have digestion issues as she passes motion with every feed. Her stool is totally liquid sometimes. After giving her sporlac twice for 2 days, she seems to be getting better. Is my stress causing this or is there any other problem?
In babies, gastrocolic reflex is usually strong.
The gastrocolic reflex is a reflex in which the act of eating stimulates movement in the gastrointestinal tract, result in stronger intestinal contractions.
Many times babies pass motion after feeding immediately. It is normal in babies.
But make sure she is not dehydrated.
continue giving ORS by spoon and continue breastfeeding also.
Consult pediatrician if baby dehydrates / become sluggish/ pass blood in stool / mass in abdomen if becomes palpable.
I hope I answered your query. In case of doubt I will be happy to help you.
Best regards,
Dr. Neelam.
